Supplier Sanity Check Report

This sample shows the format of a short China-side check. The target is fictional, and the report is not legal, financial, customs, or certification advice.

Report type Supplier Sanity Check
Sample target Fictional 1688 electronics accessory supplier
Date Sample only
Result Medium concern: enough public signals to continue, but sample order recommended before any larger payment.

1. Scope

  • Reviewed the public shop page, company profile fields, product consistency, visible review signals, and Chinese-language storefront text.
  • Checked whether the product line matches the claimed business category.
  • Sent one short Chinese inquiry asking about sample availability, MOQ, and shipping method.
  • Did not verify ownership, private identity, bank accounts, tax records, customs status, or factory certification.

2. Evidence Collected

  • Shop profile screenshot with visible company name, years active, response rate, and product category.
  • Three product listing screenshots showing price range, MOQ, shipping location, and image consistency.
  • Chinese message screenshot and translated reply summary.
  • Basic red-flag notes: copied images, unusually low prices, unclear warranty language, and mismatched category labels.

3. Normal Signals

  • The shop has multiple related products rather than a single opportunistic listing.
  • Chinese reply was specific about sample quantity, lead time, and domestic shipping method.
  • Visible storefront information is internally consistent across the checked pages.

4. Concerns

  • Some product photos appear generic and may not prove inventory ownership.
  • The supplier did not provide a clear written warranty term in the first reply.
  • The public profile alone is not enough to confirm factory status.

5. Recommended Next Step

  • Order one low-cost sample before any bulk payment.
  • Ask for packaging photos before shipment and compare them with the received sample.
  • Do not send large deposits until product quality, packaging, and communication reliability are observed.
